Literature Emitting Diodes is a publishing project that brings poetry and prose to storefront windows on a scrolling LED display. The identity had to work well on a wide variety of screen and print applications to solicit writing submissions. Special attention was paid to small-use versions of each mark, accounting for color, line weight and letterspacing. The mark, which references the LED display’s lettering, is restrained and stable, but still visually playful—suitable for courting writers, but also art organizations and businesses.
